What precautions should be made and should be know their rights? What advice would you have for people that will be experiencing thunderstorms from tomorrow through next Thurs
If it is being struck by lighting that you are concerned about, there are a few measures that you can take: Indoors is the safest place to be. Don't use the phone. I read once of a man who was hit by lightning as he sat on the toilet - a bolt hit his septic system and traveled into the plumbing. If outside, don't be the tallest thing around. If you are outside and you feel the hair on your arms, for example, stand upright, a bolt is about to strike nearby. Crouch down as low as you can. What advice would you have for people that will be experiencing thunderstorms from tomorrow through next Thurs
Don't use umbrellas in thunderstorms because lightning could zap you and you'll be like the cartoon characters who get zapped and you see their skeletons.
.Stay off the house phone and away from windows. Monitor the national weather service or local T.V. for advisories or warnings. If you are outside pay attention to the sky...if you hear thunder go inside and wait out the storm.
go to the mall alot or stay home and screw alot
You have the right to remain dry. If you give up these rights, you will get wet.
Take an umbrella with you when you go out.
precautions? it's a thunderstorm only right? i'd say you'll be fine. just stay indoors if it gets too bad, b/c of the lightening.
Do not hug any trees. Do not wear a WWI German Pikelgreube helmet. Do not sunbathe on the roof. Do not fly a kite. Do not lick any metal basketball posts while it is being struck.
