Waste of time and money. Australian voltage is 240V 50 Hz and there is a fair old chance that your stuff will not be approved for use in Australia because of the way houses are wired here, with an earth pin on appliance plugs unless the stuff is ';double insulated'; to Australian standards. About the only things I'd bring are dual voltage electric shavers.

I don't know where you are coming from but there is also a fair chance your TV will not work. Analog TV in Australia is PAL-D, a more advanced system than the primitive analog NTSC used in the USA (if it is still used there) and also a different system from that used in Europe, though closer.

Maybe your TV has several reception modes, mine does. We are told analog TV is to be phased out soon anyway, a digital set might work but who knows.

Your DVDs will not play on an Australian DVD player unless you get a de-regionalised DVD player here. Your cell phone will not work unless it is tri-band and has an Australian SIM card.

Your CDs and CD-roms will work.

Your portable battery operated radio will work.

Got to this site, go to ';World Eectric Guide'; and scroll down to ';I';, which is the power plug type used in Australia and New Zealand and most of the Pacific Islands.

Your mobile charger may be OK, some suitable for 100 -250V - adaptor needed. Laptop - dunno, probably.

cost of shipping them here + converting them will be more than getting them here
You'll need step-down transformers/converters and some adapter plugs. Australia's voltage is 240.
