So, stop worrying and if at you haven't started yet... start now.. Start living.

Please Don't exist.

Dont do it if you are a religious person get closer to God and ask for some help, you might also want to go see a phycoligist. Also tell your parent or parents your situation. By the way I can relate I am also a teen. I believe the top teen depresion cause would be a death from a close friend or boyfriend or a major breakup.What advice would you give to someone thinking about suicide? GET HELP NOW.

Depression can be caused by a chemical imbalance or it can be caused by overwhelming negative thoughts triggered by bad situations. Either way, it is imperative to get help from mental health professionals now.

Suicide is not a way out of our problems, it is a cop out, a cowards way out. Since the depression is caused by our minds, our brain can make an excellent case for suicide, but that is the one time not to listen to yourself. With professional help, you can be up and running in no time, back to a much more normal life.
I would suggest just to keep talking to them and tell them all the things- it'll pass, they have a lot to live for, etc etc, even if they don't seem to hear you or turn down everything you say you get them through the rough patch for when they start to feel better.

Example:

';Things'll look brighter in the morning!';

';No, no they won't I wake up every morning miserable';

Dooon't get discouraged! They're saying this but just keep talking to them about it and telling them that stuff...
In our life we all make a great number of mistakes. After we did something wrong, we have the possibility to learn from it and correct it. Nothing in life is so dramatic that it forces you to make a mistake which can not be corrected. Yest think, is there any problem worst than being death, I don't think so.
A teenager is really frail and only a bad mark is enough to make them thinking about suicide! Talk him and explain him how life is amazing!
Prozac.
turn to someone for help. School councellor, principal, nurse, doctor, parents, etc.
Any type of attention you can give to a depressed teen is a good thing. If you try to bring up the topic with them, it provides an opening to talk.

I believe the biggest cause of teen depression is issues with family. I think it is also hereditary.
THEY HAVE SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR...THEY ARE LEAVING BEHIND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM...SIT DOWN AND JUST HAVE A HEART TO HEART..WHATEVER THE PROBLEM MAY BE IT CAN BE SOLVED..I DON'T KNOW THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF TEEN DEPRESSION-PEER PRESSURE MAYBE...FEEL LIKE THEY DON'T FIT IN MAYBE???
I would tell them to talk to ANYONE they feel comfortable confiding in. A teacher, counselor, priest, minister, parent, sibling, school mate, etc. Remember that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. There are suicide hot lines, web sites and several other ways to cope with your problems. 1-800-suicide (1-800-784-2433) www.SuicideHotlines.com. You can e-mail me, I'm no professional, but I have teenagers, maybe I can help. Someone out there cares for you more than you know, so don't do it! I don't know the number one cause, I would boyfriend/girlfriend, or parent trouble.
just think about what your doing is it worth your life and if i was you i would go try and get some help from someone. I think you need to talk to someone. dont do it nothing is worth your life and if you need someone to talk to e mail me. i can help i have thought about that stuff a lot.
