Rescue remedy, do you think it works? Any advice on anything else you can take to stop getting nervous?

Scenario, say you have to do something in front of thousands of people and you normally get nervous, what are some of the things you can do? Picturing them naked isn't an option (someone will probably say that so thought I'd beat you to it).Rescue remedy, do you think it works? Any advice on anything else you can take to stop getting nervous?
Controlled breathing is a way to calm your body and mind and can be done anywhere. Breathe slowly and deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth, holding the breath for the count of 3 before exhaling. (Be sure to breathe deeply into your diaphragm instead of your chest.) Do this 3 times and you will change the chemistry in your body naturally. After that continue to breathe deeply into your diaphragm and in a nice, slow pattern. This should really help.
