Avon reps--could you help me with advice on finding prospects?
Hi there fellow Avon reps! I really need some tips on getting my business going. I see how the power of three can be successful, but I have no idea about how to start with that, especially since my place of employment prohibits solicitation (I can't really do more than mention that I'm a rep to coworkers and I'm not supposed to say anything to my customers). How do you start those conversations in the grocery store line? My biggest challenge is that I have little to invest in this right now--I really can't do more than order 1 set of catalogs per campaign because I already have a limited income, and that makes demo ordering, etc. very hard. What do I do? How do I proceed without being too pushy or spending a lot of money? I have already done most of the training videos.Avon reps--could you help me with advice on finding prospects?
I can help you I am a rep either email me godidgood4ever@yahoo.com or go to youravon.com/kgrimsleyday cream

What advice would you give to a Christian girl thinking about going into the ministry?
Any tips, or warnings or anything else?
I have been pondering this for a little while now, since someone told me I should consider this. What advice would you give to a Christian girl thinking about going into the ministry?
I've been working in ministry for 5 years now, and it is the best, hardest, most frustrating, rewarding job I've ever had.
It is HARD work with FEW earthly rewards. People will talk about you and work against you. Others will bless you with their help and encouragement.
I have cried myself to sleep and been so excited I couldn't sleep. It is a roller coaster ride, sister.
Blessings on you and yours.
EDIT
FEZ - When reading the Bible, you must take things in context and have discernment from God. 1 Cor. 14:34-35 is speaking to a specific instance that was occurring in Corinth. In the Jewish synagogues, men and women would sit apart. But if a woman chattered or called out to her husband sitting far off, she would be dealt with severely. The Corinthian church may have adopted the same kind of seating arrangement, but with many women from Gentile backgrounds, they did not know how to conduct themselves at a church meeting. Paul is teaching them how. What advice would you give to a Christian girl thinking about going into the ministry?
go for it if it's your calling. good luck.
Since this will be your life's work - and you'll definitely have to ';practice what you preach'; - be SURE that you agree with the church's teachings.
Have you explored other churches and other religions? Very often in studying for a ministry - you are required to explore these things. Make sure that will be part of your studies (exploration) - or do it on your own.
Talk to others who have done it.
I know a female Methodist minister - and she's loved her work for 20 years now.
Namaste!!
Make sure you count the cost. The ministry is a wonderful and fulfilling call. But you will not always be liked. If God is calling you then go for it.
I would recommend looking into YWAM (Youth With A Mission) or OM (Operation Mobilization) or WWEC (World Wide Evangelistic Crusade) or any of Bethany Missions. In fact, Bethany College of Missions (BCOM) in Minneapolis, MN is an excellent place to start to get the necessary training that will lead to just about ANY mission field you have your heart set on.
';DONT';
Try some lsd, then get back to us on your oppinions.
We will listen intently to your point of view.
If at that point you do not specifically follow the same point of view as the christian church, maybe dont go into the ministry.
grow where God plants you. seek His will and you will find the path intended.
If you're Catholic, you can only be a nun. Women are not allowed to be priests.
If it is your passion, go for it. If God calls you to do ministry, you do not get satisfaction if you involve in any other business. God will make a way for you as you step forward.
wouldnt know any tips or warnings
but good luck
Only a warning. Read throuth 1st and 2nd Timothy and then pray on it. I'm studing this topic but I'm starting to lean towards what scripture says about no women in ministry unless there are no spiritual men around.
remember things will be just the same as a minister as when your a discple...temptations and trials will be around you just
as much.
and also rememeber some fields may have a good harvest
and other fields will have little or none...
you choose a very good thing to preach the gospel though!!!
Christ returns soon.
If it's something you really want to do, then go for it. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't, especially because of your gender. But make sure you really want to do it, and be prepared to constantly defend your position to the outside world. Good luck =).
Trust in the Lord always.Go in the name of the Lord.Keep is laws decrees precepts.
:) he will make ur way sucessful.
It depends on what you think you are being call for. I have been in the Children and Youth Ministry for almost 30 years. Jesus said before He ascended, To go and Preach the Gospel. He was not just talking to men, but to all born again believers. But do keep in mine that you can not be the Pastor or Head of the Church as the Lord said: ';A woman is not to have authority over the men in Church';. This is not to say you can not voice your opinion. As for Paul telling the women to keep silent in Church we have to go and see who he was speaking to and why he said this. At this Church the women were gossiping more then they were spreading the Gospel, and Paul simple told them to, Be silent and listen to what they were being taught.
What kind of ministry? My best advice would be to investigate the types of ministry you feel you might be called toward, talk to people who are in that type of ministry, and pray to God for guidance. If you're Catholic, consult a nun or priest for spiritual guidance too.
If you are very sure of the call into ministry then go into it. God is always there and ready to equip those He calls.
No tips except be willing to yield totally to the Holy Spirit.
Paul said women shouldn't even speak in church. How can she become a minister?
I think it's sexist nonsense, but if you believe in the Bible, don't you have to follow what it says?
I'm sure I'll get thumbs-down, but I'm just reading what the Bible says. If the Bible condemns gays and you say it's the word of God and can't be changed, then why can the restriction on women be changed? Seems like trying to have it both ways.
If you fully believe this is God's call for you, realize that their will be many difficulties and problems. If God has called you into this, He will give strength for whatever you need. If you plan and doing this alone and giving your life completely to only Him, realize there will be men (some not true, if you catch my meaning) who will try to entice you away. If you plan on being part of a team, man and wife, that would be easier.
There are many different ministries and they ALL involve serving others.
Pray a lot before hand that God will reveal to you what He wants you to do, then do it with all your strength, praying always. He will help you if you serve Him.
Don't! Women are not allowed into the Priesthood. You need to investigate who the Lord refers to as Jezebel in revelations. This is the woman standig where she ought not; the Pulpit. If you don't believe the book then don't pick this answer. Give it a thumbs down and move to the next answer.
Ezekiel 13:17-19,22
17Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
18And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
19And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
22Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
as a man of God i will warn you now that there are religions that preach against women preaching. Notice I said religions. In God's eyes, there is no difference between male, or female, for we are all one in Christ. Never back down from your calling because there will be many who try to discourage you. may God's peace and Love guide you in his precious Holy Spirit. my prayers are with you. If God be for you, then who can be against you?
Seek the voice of the Lord and let Him to lead you.

I also have done community work, and won awards for it and also academic awards. I am apart of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Assuming your SAT score is consistent with the rest, you will have no problem with either school. In fact, maybe you ought to aim higher. Give those top 15 universities a shot; see if they'll give you a bunch of money.Question regarding my GPA, please help really need advice im confused THANK YOU?
Def. U of I. It's competitive, but not so much. I got in there with a 3.8 and nothing else...
Sorry, don't know about Oberlin
I think you have a chance. :] Don't sweat it.

Any advice or a opinion you can give me would be great?
I am 37 and female,no medical problems, had a hysterectory so i cant be pregant,my question is,since monday i have this bad headache and nausea,i am just wondering if anybody has an opinion on what could cause this,i have been taking advil and it works for a while then it comes back again. If anybody can give advice to me anything would be great, thank you so very much.Any advice or a opinion you can give me would be great?
It does sound like a migraine. Try some Excedrine and see if that helps. Excedrine works better for my migraines than any thing else unless I let it get ';full blown'; and then I need something prescription strength. If this doesn't help I would see a doctor to rule out anything more serious. Good luck! I know how bad they hurt!Any advice or a opinion you can give me would be great?
DONT laugh... but, I actually needed glasses when I was having the same symptoms! For real, the doc said what happened was from straining my eyes (i didnt realize i was even ';straining'; them)... I would get a headache... and the headache was what caused me to feel sick to my stomach...
But it could be a number of different things...are you stressed?...could even be a touch of a cold, sinus infection, you could even be diabetic and not know it...it reall could be anything...
The best thing you could do is go to the Doc and see what he says...
Hope you feel better!
see a doc!!!
Have you quit anything like coffee lately? Or maybe you you are having an allergic reaction to something new you ate.
it could be a bad migraine. I get them a lot. If you can, try to get a prescription of Topomax from your doctor (but ONLY if he says it is a migraine problem) It really helps.
I think it is a combination of migraine and stress like the one I had a month ago. I had the headache for 3 weeks and the nausea for a few days in a row. I stopped drinking coffee and after 5 days the pain is all gone. There must be something in your diet that is causing you the migraine. That combined with other aspects of your daily lifestyle, like work, etc...is giving you that problem.
Okay, you may have some sort of virus because that is what could be causing the nausea. But with the headache, it is probably a bad migrane. But if it keeps occuring every single day you should consult your doctor and he may send you to a neurosurgeon. Just try to limit the activities you're doing and sleep a lot! It always helps!
It could be a migraine. Consult your doctor to make sure... ;)
You could be pregnant. Anything can happen!!!
if it hasn't been very long since the hysterectomy, then it could possibly be from the anestesia they used during surgery. or from the hormone replacement meds they put you on after surgery. try talking to your doctor. sorry i wish i could be of more help. good luck and best wishes.
Probably a common virus or cold. You'll be fine. Have some soup, get LOTS of sleep
That could be anything, i think you should see your doctor and see what he says. An M.D. is better than most of us on yahoo answers... unless someone can out qualify him of course :/
It could be a few things. The combination of headache and nausea could mean gastroenteritis. As for the headache, how bad is it? If its actually a migraine, it could just be the migraine, as they are frequently accompanied by nausea. If the advil is working for awhile, then the headache comes back, it makes sense, since it usually lasts about 4-6 hours.
Try Nurofen Plus That Always works for me..Take time off work and get plenty of sleep sounds like a migraine

What advice would you give to someone who's moving to japan for a year?
what advice would you give someone who is moving to japan as an exchange student?
any advice, big or small, will be a lot of help
thanks in advance! What advice would you give to someone who's moving to japan for a year?
One of the biggest pitfalls of exchange students to Japan is that they tend to hang out too much with one another.
I think the most helpful advice is:
1. Don't hang out with other Americans or English-speakers. Why waste time in Japan talking to Americans when you can do that in America?
2. Don't be afraid to speak Japanese, and don't let Japanese people speak to you in English. TRY to speak in Japanese. If a Japanese person speaks in English to you, explain to them that you are in Japan to learn, so you want to speak Japanese. Even if you don't know enough Japanese to communicate, you can only learn it by listening to it and trying to use it yourself. You can't learn Japanese by speaking English.
3. Just be open. It's such a general suggestion, I know, but it's unbelievable how many people go abroad, even for a year, and go back to their countries unchanged, because they are so close-minded and ignorant. Try as much as you are able, and don't be afraid to do new things, even if they seems strange. In part, that's why you're there, right? Because it's different, and you want to experience the culture, so keep that in mind. Even if you still think it's weird after you do it, at least you tried, and hopefully you at least appreciate why they do things the way they do them or believe what they believe.
Maybe you've heard all of this before, but I feel like it really is good advice. What advice would you give to someone who's moving to japan for a year?

Take a picture of how you like to have your hair cut. (Picture of yourself I mean). I haven't had my hair cut by someone who speaks english for over 5 years.
Bring lots of photographs from home to show people. It breaks down language barriers.
If not learning Japanese... at least start leaning hiragana.
Try to do something outside of the circle of foreigners you'll find yourself in. There's nothing better than a martial art. imo
Blog for your friends at home; with lots of pictures.
Amazon.co.jp is really good. Someone I know had things shipped over using the American Amazon.com and paid lots of extra money for shipping for no reason.
Make sure you know where you stand with healthcare.
Buy a bike (in japan). If the police catch you using a bike that isn't yours... then things get sticky.
Get your international drivers license so you have the option of renting a car in the first 6 months of your stay.
Have a good time.

This sounds like an exciting adventure for you! Enjoy! Here are my recommendations:
Don't forget to laugh - at yourself! You will make plenty of ';mistakes'; with the customs and language, but you are forgiven by locals because you are a foreigner. Of course you will not try to offend, and people will see you are making an effort. Everyone will be releaved when you see that you have a sense of humor.
You will have lots of opportunities for gift giving. Try bringing music, calandars with pictures, stickers, colorful pens and pencils, and other small gifts that you can give your friends. They will cherish these.
Bring photos of your family, pets, school, friends, vacations, home, yourself. Your language skills will be very much enhanced by these photos and they will give you something to talk about with new friends you make.
Join a club and/or sport. Japanese respect people who ';belong'; and this will help you make friends on the team or club.
Try new foods, and remember the names of dishes you enjoy so you can request them at restaurants. Some people will ask you ';Do you eat sushi?';. Depending on how close to the city you are living, people may have different questions for you and your life back home.
Be mindful of those around you - you don't have to completely change who you are, but think about what you wear and how loudly you are talking in public.

thanks in advance!

Can you please give me some sound advice?
I hate college and Im not one who cares about being enlightened. I don't know what I want to do with my life and I feel like i am aimlessly taking classes. I just don't have a true passion for anything. I am just trying to please my mom and dad and I just feel so depressed (physically sick inside) what can I do? I am just not happy. Society tells me to go to school and get a degree and just do it. But I dont have the passionCan you please give me some sound advice?
It sounds like you might need a break. But before you do it, caution...it's very difficult to go back. I never did. Right now, you don't have to know 100% what you want to do, college is also for people who are trying to figure that out. Go for something you have an interest in and later on in life you will branch many different directions. I did, I do have a bachelors in Marketing, but found out that I love graphic design through one of my marketing jobs. Don't be so hard on yourself. Most of us still don't know what we want to be when we grow up.Can you please give me some sound advice?
Depends on where you live. If you're in a huge city, it's not as hard to get a decent job without a diploma. I have an Associates degree and I have to work my butt off to get noticed. No one wants to hire me off the street - they look at my resume and toss it.
It takes time to find yourself. It did for me. And I doubt that your depression is tied completely to school. Depression is a result of deeply held feelings and beliefs.
If you can figure out a way to stick with it until graduation I would do that. It's only for a few years. Life gets better.
Hope that helps.
Same here friend, there are thing's I'd like to know, but I have no passion whatsoever. I'm both dull and bored. Not a good combo.
Honestly, I have no idea what you could do beside trying to find something you can be passionate about. Other than that...idk

I know that the police are still allowing that store to fill like graves; the fellow who did it has bragged to me.

Advice for a single mom - what do you think?
I was recently divorced. I am lonely, and would like to start dating, meeting friends, etc. I have sole custody of my children, but my ex has visitation. I work full time. So, my kids are in daycare every day. Is it selfish of me to get a babysitter once in awhile in the evening to go out? I feel so guilty. My children are 3 and 5. They love having a babysitter, but I am worried about them. They have been through enough with the divorce. Is this too much stress to put on them?Advice for a single mom - what do you think?
No it's not selfish at all. The best thing you can do for your kids is to make sure you keep yourself healthy and happy. You deserve to go out and have some time when you aren't working or taking care of children. Don't feel guilty about this at all - especially if they enjoy having a babysitter (and most kids do).Advice for a single mom - what do you think?
honey you also need some mommy time also. i am married and have 3 kids and i love to get out of the house by myself also. by you getting some time to yourself you are making yourself a better mom by giving yourself a break. if they love having a babysitter and you can afford it, i say go for it. have fun.
It's fine. Mommy needs to go out once in awhile too! I'm a single mom as well (ex does not have visitation) and once in awhile i'll get a sitter and go have fun with my girlfriends.

Do any of you have any good advice ??? -denture question--please read?
My husband just got new dentures, he gaggs very easily so every time he puts in the uppers in that is what he does. He also said they hurt his gums. I also need advice on what is best to use ';Polident';, Fixadent';, etc.Any advice would be greatly appreciated, THANK YOU in advance!Do any of you have any good advice ??? -denture question--please read?
Your husband shouldn't use the adhesive creams unless he needs them.... and if the dentures are new, they should fit almost perfectly.
He can go back to the dentist to have the upper denture adjusted. Some of the material can be removed from the soft palate area (back of denture) so gagging decreases. Also, any sore spots that he has will disappear once the material is removed from the denture.
Also, he shouldn't feel embarrassed about going back for adjustments, even if it's a daily trip for him... he paid good money for the dentures, and they should fit 'like a glove' without any sore spots once all of the necessary adjustments have been made.
Wish him luck!Do any of you have any good advice ??? -denture question--please read?
corega is a better paste and put him suck mint drops.
If they are gagging him, he probably needs to go back and have some trimmed of the back and also anywhere that they are rubbing on his gums. When he gets them fitted correctly, they should not rub his gums. However, especially on the lower set, he may need to use fixadent or similar.

Looking for advice from those of you whose income varies by season?
My husband is getting moved from motorcyle parts to motorcycle sales which is great for the higher earning potential, but I also understand the earning is very high in the summer, and very low in the winter. I don't want to make the mistake of not saving enough to get through the winter.
What percentage of his summer income should we tuck away into savings to get us comfortably through the winter?
I know this will be easy to calculate after he works in sales for a full year, but right now we just have to make our best guess.Looking for advice from those of you whose income varies by season?
You can't make a 'best guess' without knowing, but you can make a conservative estimate.
Put 50% of your summer money away to live on during the winter. I know that sounds like a lot, but next year, you'll have a better idea of what you'll need to save.Looking for advice from those of you whose income varies by season?
I'd save close to 100% of his ';raise'; until you get a better grip on what his income might look like during the cold months.
In other words, if he was making $3,500 a month and with the new job he brings in a nice $5,500 commission check, then I'd put $2,000 aside that month. I would very much recommend keeping a separate bank account to ';sweep'; the commission checks into.day cream

I need advice from a dog trainer please and thank you.?
Here is my problem:
I have a dog and my boy friend has a dog. My dog is a beagle/jack russell so a small dog she is does not get along with other dogs very well. My boy friends dog is a pure breed Huskie. He is a baby. She is always very aggressive towards him. We keep putting them together and talk them for walks together to get them used to each other. So question is what else can I do to get her to stop being so aggressive towards him for no reason?I need advice from a dog trainer please and thank you.?
You didn't mention their age. But getting them ';fixed'; (spayed and neutered is a must to calm down their dispositions, especially toward each other, Otherwise, the csual introduction and the socialization is a good way to do it; you'll just have to be patient.I need advice from a dog trainer please and thank you.?
spay and neutering is a good first step, if your dog has always had trouble getting along with other animals then more socialization is needed, find good offleash dog parks in your area (most cities list them on their websites) do frequent visits with both dogs, (it will help tire the husky puppy out as well) Husky's are VERY high energy dogs and require alot of excersie if the puppy is bored he is more likely to pick on your older dog (just like kids) keep his brain occupied with excersize and socialization, adult dogs that are larger will put the husky in his place and it may help with his forward behaviour with your smaller dog that can't just sholdercheck him and tell him to buzz off.
They'll learn eventually- theres not much you can do to speed up the process. My dog doesnt like other dogs much at all but over the years we've had several other dogs. Everytime we brought the new pup home he would hate it and avoid it for about 3 months but after that he became best friends with it. Some dogs are just like that.
spaying and neutering may help but it also may not. A common misconception is that it will make your dog's temperament better and that he will stop being territorial and lifting his leg to pee. My dog(the one who dislikes other dogs) is neutered and has been from a young age- when he was still a puppy- and he lifts his leg when he goes outside, is territorial to an extent and he..er. still has sexual urges, lol. He acts exactly the same way as an unneutered dog would. So just telling you that its not necessarily a fix for your problem. Sometimes it does effect a dog in those ways, but more often than not it doesnt.
My answer actually comes from a website
www.badrap.org
It is a really long blog about how to introduce two dog selective dogs together in the same household without conflict. It is too long to put in my answer so I recommend that you visit the site yourself.

spay and neutering is a good first step, if your dog has always had trouble getting along with other animals then more socialization is needed, find good offleash dog parks in your area (most cities list them on their websites) do frequent visits with both dogs, (it will help tire the husky puppy out as well) Husky's are VERY high energy dogs and require alot of excersie if the puppy is bored he is more likely to pick on your older dog (just like kids) keep his brain occupied with excersize and socialization, adult dogs that are larger will put the husky in his place and it may help with his forward behaviour with your smaller dog that can't just sholdercheck him and tell him to buzz off.

Need Girls' Advice: What do you think of diamond earrings on a guy?
Are they more or less attractive than those black circle earrings a lot of guys wear?Need Girls' Advice: What do you think of diamond earrings on a guy?
less. Diamonds are either for girls or super rich rappers.Need Girls' Advice: What do you think of diamond earrings on a guy?
Depends on age of the person and the size of the earrings, in my day a small diamond only on your left ear was cool, or a small hoop, but if you had an earring in your right ear you were considered gay.
P.S. those black circle hole earrings make me sick! Why would someone stretch their lobes like that?
DIAMONDS ARE ALWAYS AND WILL FOREVER BE MORE ATTRACTIVE THAN THE BLACK CIRCLES. If i SAW a man with diamond earrings the Id prob check HIS style id think hes preppy and of course if he can afford a diamond for his ear who knows what he mite put in mine, NOT A GOLD DIGGER BUT just puttin it out there.
Ugh, pierced ears on a guy looks awful.
Though I'd rather see a guy with very small gauges (the black circles) than diamond earrings. Diamond earrings make you look like you're trying to be some kind of rap star. Leave the bling to the girls.
I don't prefer men wearing a pair of earrings. I just have a thing about sharing my clothes, makeup or accessories with my man. But anything is better than those ugly black circular earrings I see on young guys.
It's a matter of personal taste, but I honestly think the big diamond studs usually look tacky on guys. I think ear piercings suit women much better than men but if guys are going to wear earrings, I'd go with your other option.
i don't really care,
as long as you don't have one of them absolutely **** off huge ones.
i do prefer a bit of bling to a plain earring.
A simple silver stud is a lot nicer than the other two.
I find diamond studs on guys to be a bit gotti (aka: tasteless).
When it comes to jewellery on men, simple is best.
My ex boyfriend had a diamond earring in one ear, it was quite cool and i think it stood out a lot compared to studs or any other earrings :)
diamond earrings on a girl would look sissy. its best a guy stick with solid earrings.
by far they are..even with the diamond earings, try not to have them toocbig. Otherwise they look pretty bad but those black circle earings look horrible.
If I had to choose, then the diamond earrings are better.
Although, I am not fond of piercings on men at all.
earings are not attractive period
sorry.
i like guys without holes in there ears
diamond earrings are better
I think they're more attractive and they look hot.
Diamonds are better choice
I think that guys who wear earings look like homo's
They'll make you look like a gay rapper.
Only if it's on one ear and you're tanned.
Depends on the guy.
i think they r mor attractiv but dont get really big ones
i dont know earrings on a guy really isnt my type but thats just me...

Hi friends, I am from Brazil. I would like to visit your country. Which place do you advice me to know?
I have known your country is wonderful. Which city would be better to me to know?Hi friends, I am from Brazil. I would like to visit your country. Which place do you advice me to know?
yes it is. So if you decide to visit my country Macedonia, I would suggest Ohrid, amazing city, trust me...
During the day you can go on any of the many beautiful beaches by the shore of the lake, do some shoping, sightseeing in the city or just sit in one of the many caf茅s in any of the narrow streets in the Old Town and enjoy. For all the young people, the nightlife is great and vibrant. The cafes work late at night, but there鈥檙e also so many nightclubs where you can carry on from there.
For sightseeing, there鈥檙e enormous many old churches, my favourite ones are Plaoshnik, more than 15 centuries old, St. Jovan Caneo, St. Naum鈥?If you climb on the Samuil Fortress, just 5 min from the centre, you get amazing sight on the whole lake.
The Lake is clean, one of the oldest ones in Europe, from 1980 protected by UNESCO as a place of world cultural and natural inheritance. Most of the lake鈥檚 plant and animal species are endemic, which also makes Ohrid unique. The most famous among these are two types of Ohrid Trout. You should try them prepared on the traditional way. yummy鈥?br>
Ohrid is also known as the site of the first Slavic university run by St. Clement and St. Naum at the end of the 9th century. Ohrid, also, used to be the centre of the orthodox Christianity in the whole region. There鈥檚 so much history there鈥?
And DO NOT miss a boat trip on the lake, especially at night, believe me one of a kind experience!!
I must not forget to mention the hospitability of the people there.
In the last few years Ohrid is soooo popular among foreign tourists, especially Greeks, Dutchmen, Bulgarians, Serbians etc. So, check it out!!!Hi friends, I am from Brazil. I would like to visit your country. Which place do you advice me to know?
If you would like to experience the ';city'; life, Washington, DC, New York City, South Beach Miami, Florida, San Francisco, Los Angeles. Parts of Arizona, Scotsdale, are beautiful, etc., Find your interest first, then decide. Our cities, depending on where they are in the states can vary greatly in culture, and nature.
Venice is such a dream go there!
What's wrong with you people he is saying Europe
Tucson, Arizona
Definitely visit New York City and Los Angeles but depending on your interests look for all kinds of great places in between, just like the other answer said.
Sweden?
But make sure u visit during summer coz thats when everyone n everything comes alive.Lotsa concerts %26amp; summer programmes..rather boring during winter..lol...Stockholm is wonderful and has been voted the most beautiful city in europe before some time ago..besides it rumoured that sweden have lotsa beautiful women too..lol...** but then again, every country has their own beauties** :o)

What advice would you give to me?
Anything at all, I need all the pointers you can think of.What advice would you give to me?
Well ...hahaha..I just wouldn''t know where to start!!!...*wink*
You're good hon...fairly close to perfect from what I can tell...
hugsWhat advice would you give to me?
Brush and don't fail to floss
wear sunscreen
be the best engineer you can be.
don't slouch.
overtip your breakfast waitress
don't drive like you own the road; you don't.
You already are the best contact a person can want. There's not need for improvement in that area.
Stop being such a cheap bassturd!
Your old pal Rusty needs a new motor on his fhshing boat and he would damn sure like an XL1200 parked in his garage.
Ya got a nice dog though, stick with them, better company than most people.
Alcohol + driving = coffin
Don't eat yellow snow. (Even if someone's keg is leaking, it could still be something else.)
Work smart, not hard
don't drink and drive....?

Did you ever ask a life changing question on Y!A and go through with the advice?
If so, what was the question? Did you follow through with what the people suggested you do? Did it change your life in a good or bad way? Was it the right choice? I was just wondering - cause I come on here for math homework help, and boy troubles. (:Did you ever ask a life changing question on Y!A and go through with the advice?
While I've had many helpful answers to my few questions, the BEST advice I got on here was actually an answer to someone else's question. I was answering the question -- and found someone else had posted that dehydration was a common cause of chronic headaches, especially morning headaches.
Now, I've been treated for chronic migraines for over 10 years, and even with full medication, I had chronic morning headaches that required Excedrin to fix them. So, I started hydrating -- a lot more than usual for me. And the headaches stopped! Even my doctor was amazed and a bit sheepish that he had not been able to come up with this 'fix' himself after all these years. If you've ever suffered from chronic pain, you know how life-changing something like this is.day cream

What advice would you give to year 11 (GCSE) school leavers?
I am writing a motivational and inspirational speech for present year 11 (GCSE) school leavers. What advice would you give to pupils of that age, for their future, aspirations, ambitions, goals, struggles and so on. All comments, including anecdotal, graciously welcolmed. What advice would you give to year 11 (GCSE) school leavers?
I would tell them the same thing I told my own kids without the diploma many companies will not even take your application for employment because a diploma shows them that you are not a quitter your a go getter. Don't be a follower be the leader. After all the years of my getting up and doing without in order for you to have the education I never had I feel it is not too much to ask you to at least finish this final stage of high school so I have at least have one thing to stand up and be proud of.To you it may mean absolutely nothing -to me it means I didn't waste my whole life I did accomplish more then I ever set out to do. I may have been young and rather dumb growing up but one thing is for sure my own children will not repeat my mistakes even if it kills me I will never rest in peace until I see your diploma in your hand then and only then are you free to do as you please. They both graduated and I went on to live their lives with better then average pay scales and others have followed suit one day their pictures will hang on the high school wall where mine wil never hang. What advice would you give to year 11 (GCSE) school leavers?

What advice do you teachers have for students that hate school and want to drop out?
you have three choices...
1) Work in Mc Donalds the rest of your life
2) Earn your HS degree and go to a trade school (mechanic, etc.)
3) Go to college and do something right
Personally, I don't think you should give up. If HS is tough for you then you should take it one day at a time. Your answer isn't to run from your problems. Address the problems and see how you can improve. What advice do you teachers have for students that hate school and want to drop out?
Actually, even McDonalds won't hire you if you don't have or aren't working towards a high school degree. So you could drop out, but you won't find it easy to get a job, much less a decent job. So stick it out so you can work at McDonalds. :)What advice do you teachers have for students that hate school and want to drop out?
im not a teacher but i think that a good message to send out to kids is that school.. is such a small part of your life.. but it makes a huge difference.. its just one of the many stepping stones we all have to do in order to get to the nect stepping stone..and get to a place were we want to be in the wrodl.. and altough kids may not appreciate it right now.. they will when they think back and see what achievments theyve made. if a kid is willing to give up thier education.. you have to ask them.. what will you do after this?.. do they think they can just skip the schooling and go stright into work?.. becasue they will have to face stepping stones there too... and thats when they'll realise they should saty in school. :) hope that helps

Girls - What is the best advice you have given or received about love and guys?
Accept a guy for who they are- Alot of women feel they can ';change'; them or morph them into the perfect guy for them. Fact is, if you can't accept them as they are when you meet them, chances are you won't be able to stay together long.Girls - What is the best advice you have given or received about love and guys?

Can you recommend and good advice for getting through a marriage?
I am married to a wonderful man and I know he loves me and I love him but I just don't know how to be a good wife. I think its because I just don't know how, I never really had any good role models for marriage. My mom was only married once in my life and that was to a jerk. Anyone know of any good books or websites that might help? ThanksCan you recommend and good advice for getting through a marriage?
The bottom line is you need to treat him like you want to be treated. If you keep that one thought in mind at all times, you can't go wrong. Can you recommend and good advice for getting through a marriage?
haves you tried smokeing with him??? thats make good bond.
Cook, clean, and take care of your man any way he wants you to. It's simple.
The best thing I can recommend is communication. Talk to him. Ask him what he wants you to do to show that you love him. For some guys it is the little things, like a little note, a special dinner every so often. I am not saying going out, just make his favorite meal, if you can cook. Some guys like bigger things. The most important thing is to talk.
I think communication is the biggest thing we have to do to have a good relationship. Talk to him, you need to find out what kind of role models did he have for a family, find out what you expect from him as a husband, what does he expect from you as a wife, and what are you two willing to do, what kind of plans do you two have, this will make a difference in if you two grow together or apart, There are alot of different things you need to look for. You will get through this.

Can you give me somemore advice to make my abs better?

there is noticible improvement i was wonderin wat other steps i need 2 take 2 get more improvement
i wont use weights %26amp; im in high skool so i dont have alot of time
thanksCan you give me somemore advice to make my abs better?
do you have comcast on demand? if so, they have great ab workouts for FREE under sports and fitness, exercise TV! I use it, it's awesome!! Keep up the exercises and don't forget your cardio--it takes time but it looks like you are seeing results!!!Can you give me somemore advice to make my abs better?
sit ups and push ups are good but if you dont have alot of time try doing a few other things that u only have to do for a couple of minutes, like superman, leg ups, biycicles exct...
pushups don't help the abs.
If you have been doing 100 situps for more than 2 weeks stop it won't help and don't go up to 200, you will cause you abs muscles to shrink.
And you're doing sit ups everyday ! no wonder its hard to get bigger or better, some say if you over train your muscles burn and shrink but are stronger.
Do this instead in one time, don't divide them:-
1. 5x15 sit ups with 3 kg weights
2. 5x10 leg ups with 3 kg weights (lying on the floor)
3. 5x10 incline situps
4. 5x10 leg ups (hanging on bar)
5. 5x10 decline sit ups.
Do this only for 3 times a week (tuesday, thursday, saturday).
Add weigths up but 2kg every 5 times of training
Eat lots of protein, after training your abs will sore, because your muscle are burnt, torn and many more, protein will repair and build your muscles back slightly larger each time.
Eat 2 times more protein than your weight in pounds, if you are 150 pounds you should eat 300 grams of protein.
IF YOU DONT HAVE WEIGHTS YOU CAN FILL A PLASTIC BAG OF SAND AND WEIGHT IT.
NO WEIGHTS NO GAIN.
you should have time for this training as you're not doing it everyday and it will only last about 45 minutes to one hour.
THE REASON YOU TRAIN LESS IS TO ENSURE YOUR MUSCLES ARE FULLY REPAIRED BEFORE THE NEXT EXERCISE, IF YOU TRAIN EVERYDAY IT IS NOT REPAIRED AND WILL STAY THE SAME !
Learn how to spell.
Change up your ab routine. There's all types of exercises to do. Maybe on week 1, you do sit ups. Week 2 is crunches. Week 3 is bicycles. Week 4 are supermans. The trick is to shock your system so that it does not get used to the same activity all the time. Vary your routine, and make sure that you pick exercises for upper, lower and obliques.
When your health is perfectly normal.
Hi I'm 15/Male... This helped me alot!
have good genes
eat healthy duhrrr
Well, you should start thinking of doing your exercise at another point of the day, if possible. Aside from that, do less amount-more pain. Try to take the exercises really slowly, straining those muscles to the limit, say 20 per set and do a few sets. Say five 20 rep sets for push ups and five for abs. Make sure you go REAL slow, real painful-like. This will give results. BUT, don't do it the next day. Your muscles need rest, else they can't grow. They start to get used to the abuse and don't give you results after a while. Then you start doing hundreds of any excercise and feel nothing. Do them well, and give em rest.
Finally, food. Try eating carbs in day time and protein at night (meat at night). Energy for dinner only gets you fat, you need to make your muscles sore and feed them some good meat at night to give em something to grow with. The energy in the morning and lunch give you what you need to be able to do the exercise. Also, try running, gets you skinny and makes abs more noticeable.
The only thing I can think of, would be to do more situps and more pushups. The only other thing is weights, but you said you wouldn't use weights. You may just wanna browse the internet for 'ab exercises.' Use google.com it is better.
Oh, and watch what you eat. Don't eat a bunch of candy or sugary stuff.
Hope that helped.
:)
';Set your watch to beep every 30 seconds, and begin the first ab exercise.
Do as many repetitions of the selected exercise as you can until the watch beeps.
At the beep, switch to the next exercise, which should work a different part of your stomach.
If you become fatigued before 30 seconds is up, simply rest until the next exercise begins.
Start with just 6 minutes total. Longer than that and you might have trouble getting out of bed the next day. Gradually work up to 12 minutes total.
There are many abdominal exercises besides the basic crunch. Here are just a few, along with the abdominal muscles they target. You can also invent your own.
Ins and outs: (upper and lower abs) Lie on your back, hands at your sides or under your buttocks. Move through the following four positions: (1) legs extended and 6 inches off the ground; (2) legs bent and pulled toward the chest; (3) legs extended up to the ceiling; (4) legs bent and pulled toward the chest again.
Crossover crunches: (obliques) Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. With your hands behind your head, raise your shoulders off the ground and twist toward your left knee. Lower to the starting position and repeat, this time twisting to your right knee.
Straight-leg flutter kick: (lower abs) Lie on your back with your hands under your buttocks and both feet 6 inches off the ground. Keeping your legs straight, kick your feet in a flutter-kick motion.
Dying cockroach (sorry PETA): (upper and lower abs) Lie flat on your back with your legs straight, heels just off the ground, and arms extended above your head. (Be careful not to arch your lower back.) Lift your legs while simultaneously raising your chest and reaching for your toes (your body makes a ';V';shape). Return to starting position.
End your circuit-abs workout with the following stabilization exercise. With this one, try to hold the position for 60 seconds, but don't be surprised if you're shaky after 30.
The stabilizer: (entire abdominal area) Think pushup position here, except your body weight should be resting on your forearms instead of your hands. Push your body to the ';up';position, tighten your stomach, and keep your shoulders, back, buttocks, and heels in a straight line. Now hold. ';
this is the hardest ab workout i have ever done it will build deep abs wich will help with your sports and overall posture...ab formation is genetic. like my left abs are more pronounced then right, some peoples abs are aligned crooked etc.
make sure you skip at least one day between doing this excercise as excercising doesnt help your muslces...resting from excercising does. also what i do is get a yoga ball and sit straight on it while squeezing your abs when doing computer work or homeowrk this helps...also during class sit up straight and squeeze your abs. (slouching hurts abs)
runnersworld.com has some great stuff just type abs in the search...

do you have comcast on demand? if so, they have great ab workouts for FREE under sports and fitness, exercise TV!

When and how did you teach your son to pee standing? My son just turned 4. Do other dad's have advice ?
Maybe I should wait until he's 5 or 6? Do you have to actually show him how? When and how did you teach your son to pee standing? My son just turned 4. Do other dad's have advice ?
Well first I'm a Mom but my son is almost 7 and has been doing fine since he was potty trained at 2 and 1/2. First I never closed the door when I went to the bathroom so it was never considered a dirty or secret thing. Second I tried the cheerio thing and it did nothing for my son. I pretty much just made sure he could reach over the rim so, well so it would go in the potty. The other things that worked really well were letting him stand on my feet when he went pee (don't know why...) and all kids love to do exactly what there parents tell them not to do so i would stand him in front of the potty and tell him not to make bubbles in my potty.
Reen, LOL my daughter was the one who wanted to pee outside. When and how did you teach your son to pee standing? My son just turned 4. Do other dad's have advice ?
Most guys learn about everything re peeing by example. Surely you pee in front of him when taking him to the restroom, if not, you should so he is comfortable peeing around other guys, including adults. Certainly at 4 if he is going to the restroom when he needs to, and out of any protective diaper stuff, he should be able to easily understand how to pee standing up. The important thing I think most parents forget is basic hygiene--like not touching the seat or anything on the toilets.
I'd take my kid in to the urinal ay that age or younger, and just put his feet on the bottom and have him stand, pull down the pants/underwear and tell him to pee. He figured it out right away, and had him use the toilets standing by himself since obviously he can't pee in them due to the height.
Don't wait till 5 or 6, he will be in kindergarten or school that age and should know how to pee appropriately by then.
Good luck.
I taught my son when he was 2 . He always followed me to the toilet when he started walking and was facinated at what I was doing . I bought a little tommy the Turtle to stand on and he was pissing like a professional after about a week. He is now 3 1/2 and all I have to do now is wipe his bum after No. 2's . He wears undies and can pull them off and on by himself Had to remind him about every hour if he needed to go for about the first 2-3 months but after that very rarely did he have an accident. He only has accident now if he is to busy playing and doesnt make the toilet in time.
My youngest son was 3 we couldn't get him to go to the bathroom at all. We kept pull-ups on him hoping he'd catch on. We were at the park one day and he was with my oldest son who peed behind a tree. Next thing we know he peed behind the tree. The only thing is for the next few months we couldn't get him to go unless it was near a tree.
im not a father but i am an older sister. i trained my brother to pee in the toilet when he was 3.
all you have to do is tell him how, (possibly show him), and applaud him and give him treats when he does it correctly. If you make your son feel good about it they'll be more determined to do it. I'm sure the cereal thing works too, i wish i wouldve thought of that
I know that I'm not a guy but my son always stood to pee. Firstly he copied his father and secondly I made it a game. I put cheerios in the toilet bowl and he had to aim for the Cheerios. It worked really quickly. Some people use ping pong balls as well but Cheerios flush and ping pong balls don't.
Naa,,,, My son learned at 3 ... Was out at Friends farm. Had him drinking lots of liquid... no diapers... He and I spent the afternoon going out on the side of the barn every 5 Min's until he kind of figured it out....................! Not to many accidents after that....................! Good Luck............!=)
4 is a good age to start. Put cheerios in the toliet and get him to shoot at them. Of course you have to tell him to grab it and aim, you dont really have to show him with yours, unless he really seems not to get it.
I taught my son right away, it's how i potty trained him. I put cheerieos in the toilet and told him to aim for them. It was a fun way fir him to learn.
my dad put cheerios in the toilet bowl and told me if i hit all of them he woudl buy me a present(he told me how he taught me)
I also did the cheerio thing and it worked like a charm.
I hope that you're not a perv.
The cheerio idea is a good one. Tell him to hold on to his penis while peeing and aim.

My brother taught my nephew at 3.. he used fruit loops and tossed them in the toilet and told him to ';aim'; and fire.. :)day cream

Do not use make up it won't cover it up Clean it up Use Noxzema Splash your face with warm water - apply Noxzema all over - rinse with warn water then rinse again with cold The warm water will open your pores let the Noxzema in and the the next warm water will open them a little more The cold water after the cleaning will close pores Make up will only cover your pores and not allow your face to sweat so all the dirt in the air will be attached to your make up If you don't believe me try putting make up under your arm pitts and see how many zits you getCan you give me some advice of makeup?

How do you receive unsolicited advice graciously?
It is remarkably easy to be gracious when receiving advice from somebody whom you respect, particularly if that 'advice' is openly and generously enthusiastic about your achievements.
e.g.
My Professor's comments on public performances I made when I was still a student were always received with gratitude ('graciously'), even when some of that 'advice' was critical of aspects of my interpretation, for example... .
I knew that his 'advice' was always meant to raise me above my present level, and I was flattered that he bothered to give me this 'advice'.
If, on the other hand, one senses 'competitiveness' as part of the motive for giving 'advice', one often has to manufacture graciousness.
How do you be 'gracious' in that circumstance? I confess to not having mastered that particular art, sadly.
Generally, all I can manage is a brief smile or a nod.How do you receive unsolicited advice graciously?
You smile thoughtfully, nod graciously, and say, ';Hmmm... I never thought of that.';
Non-committal... non-judgemental.
Have a polite day.How do you receive unsolicited advice graciously?
I would most likely thank them for their opinion and tell them that its something you will keep in mind.....depending on the advice they are giving you of course! lol
You say, ';Thanks for that, but I don't recall asking your opinion';
I'd like to say that I do. But, I think sometimes I don't.
';Thanks, I'll consider that.';
You say, ';Thank you. I'll keep that in mind.';
no never

What's the piece of advice you have ever received in your life?
Remember that NO emotion lingers forever. Just as when you are happy and it goes away...so will your times of depression and worry. Just hang on..... allow for time and go through the 'cycle'.What's the piece of advice you have ever received in your life?
Probably the deepest and most useful piece of advice I received was when I was 12 from my father. He said ';Son, learn to paddle your own canoe. If you wait for someone to paddle it for you, you will never move forward'; That and the other I received was also from my dad 'If you go through your life expecting the worst, you will never be happy. If the worst happens, you were already miserable. If the worst doesnt happen, you will always be waiting for the other shoe to drop.'; The best advice I ever received from hollywood is this ';It's only after you've lost everything that you are free to do anything.';What's the piece of advice you have ever received in your life?
from experience, I learned this quote : “Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
My Granny taught me to never be ashamed of what I have done or hide things bad or good!!
....Someone could come to my house and dig through my most personal things and I wouldn't have nothing to hide..even those really bad things I have done in the past!
Oh and she taught me you can be dirt poor but still keep a clean house.... so many people I have come across are poor yet 'give up' on pride and have the nastiest homes!!
Have an attitude of gratitude and count your blessings when you are sad.
That you don't need to work a 40 hour job to make a living.....

I haven't been to a dentist in 6 years due to lack of insurance; can you please give me some dental advice?
1) I brush 2-5 times a day, floss 5 times a month, and use listering 2-3 times a week. Is there anything else I should be doing aside from this to maintain the health of my teeth?
2) I have looked pretty extensively for dental insurance. My job does not offer it, I can not get on state insurance, and all I can find in dental discount plans. Where do I find dental insurance? About how much does it run? Does it take a while to go into effect? Are the dental discount plans worthwhile, or are they a gimmick?
3) I get toothaches that hurt it places where I had cavities as a child. When it happens it hurts to floss or chew, are these new cavities?
4) How much does it cost w/out insuracne to get cavities filled?
To get a check up? To get my teeth cleaned?
5) Whenever I drink, it hurts to chew the next day, is this normal?
6) I'm 23, my wisdom teeth haven't come in yet, sometimes its tender and hurts back there, is this normal?
Any help is appreciated. Answer all or 1. Thank you!I haven't been to a dentist in 6 years due to lack of insurance; can you please give me some dental advice?
1) Yes there is more you can do, floss every single day if possible. It will definitely help. Also brush for at least 2 minutes each time you brush ( 1min on top and 1 min on bottom). Try to brush every time you eat and if brushing isn't possible at least swish water around your mouth to rinse it out. Try to go to the dentist EVERY 6 months for a cleaning. Most dental offices will offer new patient specials for patients without insurance. You can get x-rays, an exam, and cleaning for $99.00 or LESS! By getting your teeth cleaned every 6 months, it will prevent more seriously and expensive problems (like cavities).
2) Most colleges that have dental schooling will offer services from their dental students that are ready to graduate. These services are available to everyone and are going to be much lower in price than any dental office. The dental discount plans ARE A WASTE OF MONEY!! You can only use them at participating dental offices and almost NO dentist's accept them. I suggest if you do find a discount plan, call local dental offices in your area and ask if they accept that plan - I bet they wont. Another option is CARE CREDIT. It is a dental credit card that offers up to 12 months with zero interest. You can apply online.
3) Anytime you are having pain it is not a good sign. Is the area sensitive to hot or cold? If so, you will most likely need a root canal to stop the pain (or you could have the tooth pulled). You may need new fillings or its possible you may have sensitive teeth. You really need to have it looked at. Its impossible to tell what鈥檚 going on without an x-ray. If it is just a small cavity it will be WAY cheaper to fill now than if you let it go and wind up needing a root canal. We are talking a difference of about 80 bucks to fill and over 1,300 for a root canal and crown.
4) Depending on the tooth and how big the filling is, the prices will vary.
Silver fillings are much cheaper than white ones and they do just fine. Many dental offices say that silver does not last as long or they will tell you that there is mercury in silver. Trust me, silver is fine and works just as well. Dental offices just get more money from the white ones and they do look nicer. I have silver in my mouth and my husband is a dentist. There is NOT enough mercury in them to cause ANY harm.
Silver fillings will run you between $80 and $150. White ones will run you between $120 and $250 (give or take).
Like I said before, most dental offices run new patient specials for cleaning, exams, and x-rays for about $99 or less. This is an awesome deal considering a cleaning is usually around $80.00 and x-rays are about $120.00 and an exam is about $65.00. If they take a full mouth of x-rays those are good for 5 years and the little x-rays they take (bitewings) are good for a year. The thing that concerns me is that you have not had a cleaning in 6 years. You may need a ';deep cleaning'; or a ';scaling'; to get all the bacteria and plaque that has built up under your gums over the years. That type of cleaning WILL NOT be covered in any special. You would still be able to get the x-rays and exam though for the cheaper price and get a quote on how much more a deeper cleaning will cost you. A good way to tell if you need a deep cleaning is to floss and brush- if your gums are bleeding, sore, or swollen then you probably do.
5) Nope, that鈥檚 not normal. You do need x-rays.
6) Yes. I am also 23 and my wisdom teeth are still under the surface. Actually, my wisdom teeth are impacted =( and it sounds like yours are too. You will probably need to have them removed and so do I! The fact that they are impacted is most likely what is causing the pain you feel.
I hope that this helps. If you have other questions, email me at PhilandLola@yahoo.com =).I haven't been to a dentist in 6 years due to lack of insurance; can you please give me some dental advice?
then apply for a better health care insurance.no one shouldnt go without seeing a dentist.
Good evening,
My name is Juanita. If I were you I'd definitely see a dentist. Bad gums are linked to heart attacks. Also you don't want to wait too late and they say your teeth are no good at all. Sorry to sound so brutal, but I'm an honest person. I do represent a company that offers a discount on dental and/ or health programs that will cover your entire household starting at $19.95. The Dental Plus package includes dental, prescription, vision and chiropractic with a savings of up to 80%. There's no waiting period and no limits on your visits/ services. For more info visit my web site at: www.everyonebenefits.com/JRoge... If you have any questions my contact info is on my site and I'd be more than happy to assist you.
Enjoy your evening!
google ';dental insurance';. you need to go. you brush 5 times a day? you know that you can brush too much, right? floss 5 times a month? how do you pick those days? use mouthwash every day.
#3 is probably new cavities
#4 probably about $100
#5 not normal
#6 they might be coming in. mine never came in, and I'm 29.
let me tell you, from experience, get dental insurance.
there is a thing called Dental Call. it is a good company. rates are different in each state. just go to
www.Dentalcall.com
Can you guys give me advice on what to do to dispel anxiety before an exam?
get a good nights sleep. I know it's hard but take a shower and sleep. Think positive and have faith in yourself. You got this far in your studies and this is the final test. Good luck, I'll have my fingers and toes crossed for you.Can you guys give me advice on what to do to dispel anxiety before an exam?

Study as hard as you can...at a certain point, you might start becoming confident in yourself and stop worrying, just because you know that you studied extra hard and you know the material really well. As long as you study and do well, there's nothing to worry about! And besides, everyone gets jitters before a big test or exam, so just control them and try to lead a regular lifestyle (no skipping breakfast, even if you lose your appetite on the day before a big test).
Deep breathing exercises might help.
This may just help a bit!

How do you decide which dietary supplements to buy, on what advice/evidence of efficacy, and where d'you shop?
Your interest in supplements is a sign that you want to take charge of your health. That is a good thing! Eating the right quantity and quality of food should be all that you really need, so I would start with good nutrition. However, you can supplement to help your body through an illness or if you feel that you are lacking something. If you do take a supplement, make sure it is of the highest quality, otherwise you are just wasting your money. Try shopping at a food cooperative, a place like like Whole Foods or a reputable health food store. The first link offers a lot of information and guidelines to answer your question. The second link will allow you to investigate specific supplements.

well i'm 21, and a female vegetarian so i eat fairly healthy. what i take is a multivitamin, an iron supplement, a combo of vitamin b6, b12 and folic acid, and antioxidants (vitamins a, c, e) and since i've made these adjustments my overall health has improved DRASTICALLY. especially with regards to my energy, the iron really helped. i just looked into what my major health problems were, i was tired and seemed susceptible to the latest cold so i wanted to strengthen my immune system and increase my iron storage. i'm a vegetarian so i make sure to be pills that are vegetarian, not made out of gelatin and with vegetable derived ingredients. usually i shop at the nutrition house or the natural food pantry. i don't shop at shopper's because they sell fur products and refuse to take a stand on it. if you're just looking for a supplement in general and otherwise your health is okay, go for a multivitamin! drink green tea because it is high in antioxidants (protect against destructive free radicals). you can get iron naturally by drinking orange juice or something high in vitamin c along with your meals because vitamin c allows your body to absorb more iron, more efficiently. hope this helps!
Eat organic fruits and vegetables or grow your own. Stay away from anything with the word diet in it. If it's absolutely necessary, crazy glue your mouth shut.
The sad truth is that now a days we just don't get the nutrients that our body needs everyday. When looking into the problems that you have physically to determine what vitamins and minerals that you need dont forget the ones that help them work properly. IE when taking calcium the body also needs vitamin c to help process it.
Vitamins, before they are made to sell to us, are sold via bids (like in auctions) to the highest bidder. You may pay more for them but they are of the better quality.

Have you ever taken advice you've received here? What was the outcome?
Have you ever asked a very important question about your life and received good/bad advice?
Did you take that advice and apply it?
How did it turn out for you?Have you ever taken advice you've received here? What was the outcome?
Yes. On another account (before it was suspended) I asked how I could help my friend quit smoking. I followed the advice and got him to take therapy and he was assigned with serious medication. Turns out if he had have kept smoking for another month he would have died. So, Yahoo Answers virtually saved someones life.
That is why I am on here, in hope that one day I can repay my debt.
Good luck.

Do you have any advice for someone who is trying to remain sober?
just keep coming back to meetings if you are in AA read the book and work the steps if you are not in AA try it for 90days we will return your misery if it does not help your life get betterDo you have any advice for someone who is trying to remain sober?
I would recommend picking up a hobby or maybe even chatting online with friends, BUT not with friends whom you have a connection with going out drinking.
Try reading good book or if your not into reading maybe playing a game onliner or something.
Other then that i would stay away from friends or aquaintences that only have fun drinking that obvoiously woulndt be a good choice.
Or maybe hang with your family if that is a choice or maybe contributing your time to a shelter for homeless people.
Maybe call your church or if your not into a church maybe call and see what you can devote your time into helping others.
I dunno those are a few i guess. Good Luck by the way.Do you have any advice for someone who is trying to remain sober?
I've kept away from my addiction by helping others help themselves. I may be on the phone with somebody all night- the rewards are priceless! It gives me the motiviation and incentive to stay clean. GOOD LUCK! Keep looking forward to the future!
Don't hang with people who drink - they'll only try to get you to drink too!
I'm the wrong person to ask on that one.
Check into a rehab
First, put yourself in a good environment. Stay away from other people who are drinking.
First off, stay away from AA. I picked up a lot of bad advice in the rooms that kept me drinking for years.
I kept relapsing because I thought I would go crazy and kill myself if I didn't drink. I'd get sober for awhile, try to get help for depression, but doctors and shrinks and family kept pushing me back into AA. Finally, I got so sick of being in the cycle of recovery and relapse, I'd didn't care if it meant I went crazy or even killed myself, I wasn't going to drink.
I also didn't listen to all the dogma from the folks in the rooms. For support, I found some yahoo groups that dealt with recovery from alcohol and/or recovery from AA. Been sober now since 8/4/01 and now I'm working on cigarettes (3陆 months).
Yeh, dont drink alcohol.
Get a sponser. Have a back up person or friend in crisis situations. Go to a meeting

Do you have any advice on skinny dipping?
hey me and my friends wanted to go skinny dipping tonight just for fun... any advice,Is it worth it...is it awesomely fun?Do you have any advice on skinny dipping?
Done that a couple of times with with an old girlfriend that had a wild side to her that I was often trying to keep up with. I thought it was a blast. I do not get the appeal of doing this with a group of people, same sex or otherwise.
Word of caution to the fellas: Remember that you have something hanging so don't jump from from more than six feet up.Do you have any advice on skinny dipping?
make sure you have a spare set of clothes with you and plaed out of sight from what you are wearing, you never know who will take off with your clothes and leave you stranded naked...
Do it whenevr you want, but it sorta sucks in cold water, alot!!
Be crazy and do whatever you want and its alot of fun!
Yes, but make sure its in clean water. The last thing you want are parasitic worms crawling inside of you. That sucks.
Do it in the dark.

Hamster loves to exercise. They are naturally energetic and will do a lot of running. So make sure you provide all necessary equipment such as hamster wheels or adequate size of running space for them to
Hamsters are nocturnal creatures (active at night) so they need peace during the day to sleep. It is highly recommended to place the cage away from draughts and direct sunlight.
The cage floor should be covered with adequate layer of bedding. You can use the commercial wood shaving as they are absorbent and nontoxic.
Hamster also needs privacy during their resting time. Build them a simple small room for them to sleep. A small box will be a good idea.
Feed your hamsters adequately. Make sure they have enough food and more important water supply.
Wash the hamster cage once in a week. Keep the cage clean to prevent any infection risk.
Bathing your hamster are not recommended. Don't worry, they can clean themselves.
