I need advice from a dog trainer please and thank you.?

Here is my problem:


I have a dog and my boy friend has a dog. My dog is a beagle/jack russell so a small dog she is does not get along with other dogs very well. My boy friends dog is a pure breed Huskie. He is a baby. She is always very aggressive towards him. We keep putting them together and talk them for walks together to get them used to each other. So question is what else can I do to get her to stop being so aggressive towards him for no reason?I need advice from a dog trainer please and thank you.?
You didn't mention their age. But getting them ';fixed'; (spayed and neutered is a must to calm down their dispositions, especially toward each other, Otherwise, the csual introduction and the socialization is a good way to do it; you'll just have to be patient.I need advice from a dog trainer please and thank you.?
spay and neutering is a good first step, if your dog has always had trouble getting along with other animals then more socialization is needed, find good offleash dog parks in your area (most cities list them on their websites) do frequent visits with both dogs, (it will help tire the husky puppy out as well) Husky's are VERY high energy dogs and require alot of excersie if the puppy is bored he is more likely to pick on your older dog (just like kids) keep his brain occupied with excersize and socialization, adult dogs that are larger will put the husky in his place and it may help with his forward behaviour with your smaller dog that can't just sholdercheck him and tell him to buzz off.
They'll learn eventually- theres not much you can do to speed up the process. My dog doesnt like other dogs much at all but over the years we've had several other dogs. Everytime we brought the new pup home he would hate it and avoid it for about 3 months but after that he became best friends with it. Some dogs are just like that.





spaying and neutering may help but it also may not. A common misconception is that it will make your dog's temperament better and that he will stop being territorial and lifting his leg to pee. My dog(the one who dislikes other dogs) is neutered and has been from a young age- when he was still a puppy- and he lifts his leg when he goes outside, is territorial to an extent and he..er. still has sexual urges,lol. He acts exactly the same way as an unneutered dog would. So just telling you that its not necessarily a fix for your problem. Sometimes it does effect a dog in those ways, but more often than not it doesnt.
