You must have at least a five gallon tank or the frog will die and none of my advice will work. You need dirt half wet half dry. You need a water bowl that covers at least 50% of the cage. You need something for the frog to hide under. You need to change the water every other day and make sure that it is treated using a special treatment liquid. You should feed it crickets every other day. The crickets should be fed carrots and lettuce every other day. The crickets either need a wet sponge Dont use a dish sponge. Use a small sponge from a pet store. If you don't like this I recommend Flukers Cricket Quencher. YOu can get salmonella if you don't keep the tank clean and if you don't change the water. They live about 2-7 years with proper care but that is from birth if it is already 2 years old then it might only live another 1-3 years. Good Luck I hoep you have fun :)
Well, you can keep your frog. Keeping the frog is a matter of personal choice and is quite opinionated. Now, one thing you'll have to do is determine whether or not the frog is aquatic. More than likely, it is not and will do okay with a water dish with enough water to not cover it completely. The downfall to keeping a bowl is that you have to clean it more often. The other choice is to get a running water system with a filter (would run you between 10 and 30 bucks). Heating for you frog doesn't have to be special. He lives in the area, make it feel like the area around you. If you have a fish tank, you should have a light, so that part is covered. As for size of the tank, it will depend on the size of the frog. If he can comfortably move around in the tank, then it's big enough. The next step is to decorate. Don't over decorate because it makes it harder to clean. Get a nice piece of wood and some foliage (I recommend fake because it's always green). I'm also going to recommend a mister and usually 3 times a day will provide enough moisture, but this also depends on your house temp. Next is food. Yes, frogs eat worms, but they also eat crickets and other insects that will fit in their mouths.
Remember, have fun and do some research online. It can become an addicting hobby and can teach you many things.
i can almost guarantee that it will die if you keep it
its a wild animal, not a pet, your fish tank is probably waaay too small. dont keep it. you can catch it and look at it all you want but don't keep it! there are lots of frogs available from petstores that are very cheap and easy to maintain. i cannot emphasize this enough, DO NOT keep it, you will greatly stress it out and drastically shorten its life span, please, for the sake of the frog, dont keep it. it might seem cool right now, but youll probably get bored of it soon, if you really want a frog, go buy one. you could let it loose in your backyard to watch it too
Yes put it in a fish tank with water and rocks so he wont drown they live up to 25 days if you keep it in there no you cant get diesesas from frogs only if its poisinous wood frogs are not poisinous
Kelsey, you know you have to feed frogs WORMS. Do you like slimy, wiggly WORMS???
